The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Anambra State chapter, recently organized a one-day health and fitness walk in Awka, aimed at promoting wellness and healthy living. The event featured health talks and check-ups, encouraging members to prioritize their physical well-being.
Titled ‘AGN Walk for Life,’ the event was part of a nationwide health awareness campaign, with similar activities taking place simultaneously across all 34 state chapters of the guild. The initiative provided an opportunity for members to engage directly with service providers and sign up for Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO), insurance, and pension schemes.
In an interview with the press, Mrs. Esther Anyaegbunam, the Anambra State Chairman of AGN, explained that the walk is part of the guild’s national health policy. The exercise is designed to raise awareness about the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining fitness, health, and overall well-being.
Nzubechukwu Okafor, the former State Secretary of the guild, noted that this event marked a historic first for AGN in Anambra State.
