Korean beauty companies made a significant impact at the 2025 Cosmoprof, held in Bologna, Italy, from February 20 to 22, securing export consultations valued at approximately $6.77 million (KRW 10 billion). The event, one of the most prestigious in the global beauty industry, showcased Korean innovations in cosmetics, haircare, nail, and body care products to an international audience.
Celebrating its 56th edition, Cosmoprof has become a key platform for beauty professionals worldwide. For the 20th consecutive year, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) led the Korean Pavilion, bringing together seven institutions and 242 companies. This initiative highlighted the best of K-beauty, offering European buyers a glimpse into the industry’s cutting-edge advancements.
One of the standout achievements of the exhibition was the signing of a long-term OEM contract by Korean company B with U.S.-based brand P. The deal, valued at $8 million over five years, includes quarterly deliveries worth $400,000, marking a significant milestone in K-beauty’s global expansion.
In addition, company H secured an $80,000 supply agreement with a Verona-based firm and engaged in further discussions with a Russian buyer for approximately $29,000.
Three Korean products exhibited at the pavilion were selected among the Top 11 for the prestigious Cosmoprof Awards, underscoring the high standards of quality and design within K-beauty.
KOTRA also facilitated business meetings and networking opportunities by inviting 344 global buyers, including 109 from Italy, to attend the event. A representative from KOTRA expressed confidence in the growing appeal of K-beauty products, stating, “We will continue to support the overseas expansion of K-beauty and other industries through our global trade network.”
The success of the 2025 Cosmoprof exhibition marks a pivotal moment for K-beauty, reinforcing its rising prominence in the European market and solidifying its position as a global leader in the beauty industry.
