Taneira, a Tata brand, in collaboration with Bengaluru-based fitness company JJ Active, hosted a vibrant and empowering event this Sunday—the Taneira Saree Run—at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road. The event saw 3,120 women donning intricately woven sarees from across India, transforming the location into a lively celebration of color, unity, and strength.
Flagged off by Mr. Ambuj, CEO of Taneira, and Coach Pramod from JJ Active, the Hyderabad chapter of the Saree Run paid tribute to womanhood, fitness, and self-expression. The event highlighted the saree’s versatility, symbolizing both deep-rooted tradition and the evolving spirit of the modern woman.
The Saree Run goes beyond fashion, emphasizing strength, individuality, and the empowerment of women. It encourages participants to embrace physical activity while celebrating their cultural heritage. With previous successful editions held in cities such as Bengaluru, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, the event continues to unite women across India. Through shared experiences and collective strength, the Saree Run has transformed the saree into a symbol of empowerment, connecting tradition with progress.
