West Ham striker Michail Antonio is heading to Dubai today to continue his rehabilitation after the Ferrari crash he was involved in last December. Antonio, who sustained injuries in the accident, will spend two weeks at a specialized training facility in Dubai, a location where West Ham already has an established relationship for player recovery.
Fellow West Ham teammate Niclas Füllkrug is currently undergoing treatment at the same facility, continuing his own recovery process.
Antonio is expected to return to the UK on 20th February and will attend West Ham’s upcoming home match against Leicester City at the London Stadium. He will be a guest of honour, greeting fans before the match kicks off.
The club and its supporters have been eager for Antonio’s recovery since the accident, and his return to fitness will be a significant relief. The striker, who is West Ham’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League, was able to return home just in time for Christmas after spending some time in the hospital.
With just five months remaining on his current contract, Antonio’s future at West Ham remains uncertain, though the club has the option to extend his contract for an additional year.
Stay tuned for updates on Antonio’s progress as he continues his path to recovery.
