Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who was injured in a stabbing incident at his Mumbai residence earlier this month, has been advised by doctors to refrain from physical activity, including gym workouts, and to focus on complete rest. Khan, who was stabbed by an intruder on January 16, is expected to take several weeks to recover and return to his normal routine.
Actor’s Health and Fitness Regimen
Before the attack, Saif Ali Khan was known for his commitment to fitness, which included a protein-rich diet and a focus on intermittent fasting. According to reports, the actor relied on proteins like chicken and fish to maintain muscle mass without gaining excess fat. He also incorporated healthy fats, such as those from nuts and avocados, to support his muscle movements during workout sessions. Khan’s fitness routine also involved intermittent fasting, a strategy used to promote fat burning.
In 2016, during an event in Mumbai, Khan shared his views on the importance of exercise. He emphasized the need for regular physical activity, stating, “People say they don’t find time to exercise. That’s ridiculous. If you find time for a shower and other things you consider important, you should find time to exercise as well. You’ll realize how it influences your life. Even your relationships will improve,” as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Details of the Incident on January 16
On January 16, at approximately 2 a.m., Saif Ali Khan was involved in a violent altercation when he tried to intervene after an intruder attacked one of his female employees in his son Jeh’s room. In the ensuing confrontation, the attacker stabbed both Khan and the employee. Saif Ali Khan sustained multiple injuries, including six stab wounds, one of which was particularly severe, located near his spine.
Khan was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors identified three major injuries: two on his hand and one on the right side of his neck. The most critical injury was to his spine. Medical professionals successfully removed the sharp object lodged in his spine and performed the necessary repairs. Following treatment, Khan was moved from the intensive care unit (ICU) to a regular room on January 17, and he has since returned home.
Recovery and Future Plans
While Khan’s recovery is progressing well, medical professionals have advised him to take a break from strenuous physical activities, including his usual fitness routine, for the next few weeks. Reports suggest that it may take up to a month for the actor to fully resume his regular activities.
As Saif Ali Khan focuses on his recovery, his fans and well-wishers continue to support him during this difficult time, eagerly awaiting his return to normalcy.
