Actress Simaran Kaur, known for her role in Jamai No.1, credits her dedication to fitness, particularly Pilates, as a crucial element in shaping her on-screen persona. The actress, who embraces a balanced diet and a rigorous fitness regimen, believes that her physical well-being plays a pivotal role in her performance.
In a recent statement, Simaran shared, “Staying fit is not just about looking good; it’s about feeling strong and confident in your own skin. Pilates, in particular, has transformed me. It not only helps me maintain my body but also keeps me grounded and happy.”
Kaur portrays Riddhi, a determined and strong-willed character in Jamai No.1. To embody the essence of her role, Simaran has focused on refining her body language and posture, areas she feels are essential for portraying a character like Riddhi, who exudes confidence and authority. “As an actress, it’s important to not only look the part but also to feel it,” she explained.
Simaran believes that her fitness journey directly impacts her on-screen presence, enhancing her ability to portray a powerful, boss-like character. “My fitness is key to portraying the strong presence that Riddhi demands,” she added.
Fans of the show will witness Riddhi’s continued character development in the upcoming episodes, where Neel, a key character, faces various challenges thrown at him by Riddhi and her mother Kanchan (played by Papia Sengupta) as he navigates his way into their office.
Reflecting on her achievements in 2024, Simaran spoke about the valuable lessons she has learned in her career. “What truly matters is staying focused on your craft and believing in yourself, especially during difficult times. Simaran also highlighted her role in Tose Naina Milaike on Dangal, which has been a significant milestone in her career. The show, which neared its 500th episode, earned Simaran widespread recognition for her character. “The audience really connected with my character, and I received immense appreciation. I didn’t expect to perform a comedy role, but it turned out to be an incredible experience,” she added.
