A 54-year-old businessman tragically died while working out at a gym in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district. The incident, captured on CCTV footage, has surfaced online, raising concerns about the rising number of heart attacks in gyms.

Kawaljit Singh Bagga, identified by his black turban, was seen in the video performing warm-up exercises with a group of people at the gym on the morning of July 20. As the session progressed, Bagga appeared increasingly uneasy. He eventually stepped away to stand in a corner of the gym, where he collapsed moments later. Despite the swift efforts of fellow gym members to help him, Bagga had already succumbed to a fatal heart attack. He was declared dead on arrival at a nearby hospital.

Family sources cited by the PTI news agency stated that Bagga was a fitness enthusiast and a regular at the gym. He was following his usual routine on the day of the incident.

This tragic event highlights a troubling trend of rising heart attacks in gyms, alarming both fitness enthusiasts and medical professionals. Experts suggest that the increase in such incidents may be linked to more intense workouts, undiagnosed health issues, and a lack of proper precautions.

The gym community and health experts are now calling for increased awareness and preventative measures to ensure the safety of those engaging in fitness activities.
