Bella gained fame on TikTok for her vibrant spirit while contending with severe health issues, including Hirschsprung’s disease and severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). Hirschsprung’s disease affects the colon, causing difficulties in passing stool, as described by the Mayo Clinic. Bella underwent a successful bowel transplant last August, recovering faster than expected.
Recently, Bella faced complications from a viral lung infection, prompting doctors to place her in a medically induced coma at Toronto’s SickKids hospital. Despite efforts to stabilize her health, Bella’s condition did not improve.
Reflecting on her daughter’s impact, Kyla shared on Instagram last Sunday that Bella continued to fight despite her challenges. “I don’t know which way things are gonna go,” Kyla had written, illustrating the uncertainty surrounding Bella’s health in her final days.
In a subsequent statement to People magazine following Bella’s passing, Kyla Thomson expressed the profound loss: “Everything is hard without her.
