Susan Lucci, renowned for her role in “All My Children,” recently opened up about her journey with heart disease and navigating life after the loss of her husband, Helmut Huber, in 2022.

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Lucci shared her perspective on coping with grief and the challenges of moving forward. Despite understanding that love can come again after loss, the 77-year-old actress expressed that she is not yet ready to date.

“For everyone, it’s different, and part of it is making the choice to get up off the floor and keep moving forward,” Lucci remarked. “Life is a gift from God, and I am grateful. I will never take that for granted. I’m thankful for the love I had with Helmut.”

Lucci also revealed that she declined an offer to participate in “The Golden Bachelorette” but remains a fan of the show and plans to watch contestant Joan Vassos in its debut season.

In addition to focusing on her emotional well-being, Lucci has been vigilant about her physical health, particularly after undergoing two procedures related to heart disease over the past four years.

“I had significant blockages in my arteries, including a 90 percent blockage in one and 75 percent in another,” Lucci disclosed. “Thankfully, I listened to my body and sought medical attention in time.”

Today, Lucci reports feeling strong and in good health, emphasizing her commitment to maintaining her well-being as she continues to cherish the memories of her late husband.
