In a recent study, Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co Ltd introduced a new functional food ingredient, Bacillus Natto Productive Protein (BNPP), containing Bacillopeptidase F. The ingredient, designed for cosmetic applications, reportedly enhances blood flow and improves skin condition.
Japanese researchers conducted in vitro tests and a small-scale, single-armed trial, funded by the company, to assess BNPP’s impact on the skin. The results indicated that oral administration of BNPP significantly enhances skin rosiness and demonstrates notable improvements in skin conditions. The study suggests that BNPP may prevent brown spot formation, lighten the skin, and improve fine lines and wrinkles.
