Admission is free and open to the public.
The town hall aims to foster community dialogue surrounding key issues such as mental health, community safety, and related laws. Local law enforcement, education, and mental health professionals will be present to provide insights and answer questions from attendees.
The panel will feature notable figures including:
- Newton County Sheriff Ezell Brown
- Newton County Schools Superintendent Dr. Duke Bradley III
- Covington Police Chief Philip Bradford
- View Point Health CEO Jennifer S. Hibbard
- PM Foundation CEO Dwayne L. Jones
- Shekinah Counseling counselor, educator, and clinical supervisor Dr. Laklieshia Izzard
- District 113 State Representative Sharon Henderson
This interactive forum is designed to equip the community with valuable information on safety measures and mental health services available in the area.
Elder J.B. Brockman, organizer of the event, explained that the topics of mental health and community safety were identified as top concerns in a recent community survey. “We wanted to create a platform where citizens could engage, learn, and gather an abundance of information on these critical issues,” Brockman said.
