A newly updated and expanded gym in Minlaton is offering residents 24/7 access, a variety of fitness classes, new equipment, and additional allied health services to enhance local health and wellness.
YP Health and Fitness, led by proprietors Ben Edwards and Abbie Atkinson, brings a fresh approach to fitness in the region. The gym caters to people of all ages and fitness levels, providing a range of equipment and services designed to meet diverse needs.
“We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone, whether a seasoned gym-goer or a newcomer, can find the resources they need to achieve their fitness goals,” said Ben Edwards. “Our gym offers modern cardio and strength training equipment, group fitness classes, and personalized fitness programs to suit individual needs.”
In addition to traditional gym services, YP Health and Fitness offers specialized support. Ben, a qualified exercise physiologist, is available for consultations, and the gym also features Pilates instruction, massage therapy, and dietetic services. Plans are in place to expand the range of allied health professionals in the future.
The gym is designed to be a community hub where locals can come together to improve both their physical and mental health. Ben emphasized the importance of building a supportive space where individuals can share goals and motivate each other.
“YP Health and Fitness is more than just a gym. It’s a place where people can connect, stay healthy, and work toward their wellness goals,” Ben said. “We’re excited to offer this new resource to our community.”
Since its grand opening on February 10, the gym has seen a positive response, with community support far exceeding expectations.
