Exeters Co., Ltd. (CEO Roh Jae-wook), the company behind the innovative fitness center smart retail solution PX24, has announced the opening of its second unmanned PX24 store at Spo Annie Hwagok Station, one of Korea’s largest fitness center franchises.
The new PX24 store, spanning 3.5 pyeong, offers a streamlined and efficient shopping experience using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Designed for fitness center users, the store allows them to conveniently purchase drinks, snacks, and sports equipment before or after workouts without the need for traditional barcode scanning or manual payments.
This advancement comes through a partnership with In-Indus AI, a key technology collaborator, to implement AI systems capable of automatically recognizing items customers pick up. This not only enhances user convenience but also reduces labor costs, which have become a growing concern for fitness centers.
Spo Annie Hwagok Station, a massive facility covering approximately 500 pyeong, primarily caters to a youthful demographic. Exeters aims to create a unique retail experience that integrates advertising, hands-on experience, and consumer sales, offering a positive brand encounter for younger audiences and setting a new standard in the fitness industry’s retail landscape.
PX24 first launched its unmanned store at the Fitness 101 Myeong-dong branch in August 2024, and with this new opening at Spo Annie Hwagok Station, the company is taking significant steps to expand its presence in the fitness retail market.
Exeters is seeing rapid growth, having secured three rounds of seed investments in the past year and being selected for the Youth Start-up Academy. The company is focused on further developing the integrated solution PX24 offers, blending advertising, experience, and sales into a seamless retail ecosystem.
A representative from Exeters emphasized, “PX24 provides fitness center members with an integrated solution that links advertising, experience, and sales in a meaningful way. We are committed to strengthening collaborations with major domestic and international fitness brands to build a new retail ecosystem.”
