Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former President Donald Trump, has opened up about her health and fitness routines, revealing the practices that have significantly transformed her body. In a rare interview on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast on Monday, Ivanka, 43, discussed her wellness journey and shared how incorporating weight lifting and a high-protein diet played key roles in her physical transformation.
In the candid conversation, Ivanka highlighted that her shift to prioritizing exercise began after moving to Miami. “Something that I think has been a massive change for me since I moved to Miami is I started prioritizing exercise,” she explained. Initially, she practiced yoga and Pilates, disciplines she had explored at various points throughout her life. However, it wasn’t until she became more consistent in her routine that she noticed significant changes in her physique.
“I gradually started doing more resistance and weight training, and that’s when I saw a massive difference,” Ivanka shared. She emphasized how her body composition shifted, getting stronger and leaner. “I got stronger, I got leaner, and I could kind of get away with it because I’m really tall, so I can look lean even if I wasn’t strong.”
While Ivanka admitted to enjoying yoga and Pilates more than weight training, she acknowledged that the former didn’t effectively help her develop muscle. “Yoga and Pilates, while I enjoy them a lot more, to be honest, than resistance training, I was not able to develop muscle through them. I really needed this… it’s been life-changing,” she said.
For Ivanka, the key to her transformation lies in simple weight lifting exercises such as pushes, pulls, and deadlifts. Despite not enjoying these exercises, she pointed out their effectiveness in reshaping her health. “I don’t really enjoy doing it, I enjoy going for walks, I enjoy playing sports, I really enjoy Pilates and yoga, but I have seen such a transformation in terms of my health.”
Nutrition also plays a crucial role in Ivanka’s routine. She explained that her daily morning shake, which contains protein, banana, cacao, and creatine, has been a staple in her regimen. She jokingly referred to herself as a “morning alchemist.” Additionally, Ivanka adds amino acids and electrolytes to her water to support her workouts.
Ivanka’s dedication to a balanced lifestyle extends beyond physical health. To manage her hectic life, she prioritizes finding moments of calm. “At basically every phase of my life, I now identify this as the status quo—there’s always a hurricane that I find myself in,” she said. “Things that help me with that, I think prayer is really helpful. I think being grounded in nature, so I take walks as often as I can.”
Her nighttime routine also reflects her wellness approach. Ivanka takes magnesium before bed and uses the Skinny Confidential Mouth Tape, a product priced at $35, to enhance her sleep quality.
Ivanka’s focus on family life and personal ventures comes after her tenure as an Advisor to the President during her father’s administration. A source close to her recently told DailyMail.com that Ivanka does not plan to return to the political sphere anytime soon. “She felt like she was being asked to reveal something she did not know anything about and she never wants to be in that position again,” the source revealed, noting that Ivanka is currently focused on motherhood and other private ventures. “Her family means the world to her, and she is now focusing on being a mom and other private ventures. She is completely happy where she is in her life.”
The source also explained that Ivanka has no intention of rejoining political circles, stating, “She is perfectly fine handing the reins to Lara [Trump] this time around. Not her circus, not her monkeys.”
