Witch hazel contains tannins which can constrict the pores and give the skin a smoother appearance. Instead, focus on a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Foods high in antioxidants like berries, green leafy vegetables, and nuts can help protect the skin from free radical damage caused by environmental factors. Omega-3 fatty acids, found in fish like salmon and flaxseeds, can also help reduce inflammation in the skin and regulate oil production.

Drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated from the inside. Adequate hydration is crucial for maintaining the skin’s elasticity and overall health. Aim for at least 8 – 10 glasses of water a day. Herbal teas and infused waters can also be a good addition to your fluid intake.
